Character Information:
Name: Han Solo
Canon: Star Wars (Legends)
Canon Point: Just after New Jedi Order-after his period of depression and anger and the family’s hard times, but before all of the annoying dumb moves that happen in the Legacy of the Force.
Age: about 59 years
Type of Character: Canon
Reference: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Han_Solo/Legends
Setting Concepts:
New Republic: The government formed after the fall of the Empire. Leia was its leader for a while, although she later stepped down. Han mostly just tried to make the most of being the husband of a prominent government figure.
New Jedi Order: The Order Luke built later on. It is not as restrictive as the Old Order. All three of Han’s kids have become Jedi under Luke’s guidance.
The Force: The energy that flows through all living beings. Han’s only real connection is that he’s from a family full of Force users. He never even believed in it until he met Luke on Tattooine and saw later on what he was capable of.
Black Sun: A criminal group that popped up a few times early on in the EU. Han, Luke and company had to fight them a few times.
Empire: The dictatorial government that ruled the galaxy after the fall of the Old Republic. Han really didn’t care much at first about who ruled the place, but got more supportive of the rebels after falling in with Luke, Leia and Obi-Wan. Earlier he was an Imperial soldier, but was court marshalled after rescuing Chewbacca.
Clone Wars: Han was a child during the Clone Wars; he was about 9 or 10 when they ended. At that time, he was living with a band of thieves and a Wookie named Dewlanna.
Battle of Yavin: Time is now measured by years before or after. It was the battle during which Luke destroyed the first Death Star, with some help from Han and his ship.
Battle of Endor: The battle that resulted in the fall of the Empire, Luke’s redemption of his father, and the destruction of the second Death Star. Han worked on the ground with Leia, more rebels and the Ewoks, as they fought to take down the Death Star’s shield generator and allow the Rebel forces to attack it.
Prince Isolder and the Hapans: Han won Leia over as she was being courted by Isolder. Later, the Hapans figure in again with Han’s family, but that’s after this canon point. The system was a planetary system governed by a wealthy prince.
Hutts: a race of giant, slimy, slug-like aliens who make a living as crime lords. Han worked smuggling spice, a type of drug, for Jabba, one of the top Hutts, and got in trouble when he couldn’t pay back the money he owed for having to dump the cargo when he was boarded by imperials. Han agreed to transport Ben and Luke in hopes of having enough to pay off the debt. But later, he was frozen in carbonite and given to Jabba by Boba Fett, who collected the bounty on Han for himself. Leia was taken as a slave when she tried to rescue Han, and later killed Jabba while Luke fought off the guards on Jabba’s sail-barge and stopped the group’s impending execution by sarlaac.
Personality:
Han often gives the first impression of being cocky, a little self-centered and smart-alecky. However, he does have a more caring side that can come out in the right situation. For a lot of his life, he looked out only for himself and his life-bonded Wookie partner, Chewbacca. However, he began to change and mature a bit after being around Leia and Luke during the Rebellion. He began to care about someone besides himself, namely Leia. Initially, the two couldn’t stand each other, and spent much of the first and about half the second film trading insults and snarky remarks. Leia, though, saw past the brash, irritating exterior to the man inside.
Han has a penchant for gambling, fast flying and a good, stiff drink. He isn’t Force-sensitive like the Skywalkers but makes up for it with adaptability, an ability to think fast and be resourceful, and what’s often dubbed “Solo luck”. He isn’t afraid to bend the rules and take risks to accomplish goals. He has a big stubborn streak and something of a temper, which is partly why he butts heads with Leia from time to time. They’re both the same in that respect.
For much of his life, Han didn’t even believe in the Force, saying he hadn’t seen anything to make him think it was real. That slowly changed over time as he saw what Luke and later, Leia were capable of. He sometimes feels like the odd one out due to his close friends and mate having abilities that he doesn’t, but he finds plenty of ways to make up for it, as stated above. He’s very good at solving problems and getting out of tight situations.
Han has come to love Leia by the end of the original trilogy. He sees that she will do just about anything for him, and he will fight with everything he has to protect her. He sees Luke as a little brother of sorts, often calling him “kid”. His relationship with Chewie was a combination of brothers and an almost parent-child aspect, as Chewie has been known to call him ‘Cub’.
In his youth, Han never really saw himself as a family man or father, but has adapted to family life. He's very protective of Leia and the kids. Leia's political duties and the need to hide the kids for safety have taken a bit of a toll at times on Han and Leia but they've managed to come through. If he finds out about the things that happen to his family down the road,he will likely be rather shocked and angry-in canon, he turned his back on his wayward son and was eventually willing to help Leia try to kill their son to stop the evil he was committing.
He had a difficult time with Chewie's death in the beginning of the war, and it drove him into a depression which caused him to leave home for a while and return to smuggling. However, he returned when he learned that Leia was in danger of being killed, and over time, the rift began to heal. Still, he was devastated once again by the death of his youngest son, Anakin. This time, he kept himself in control so he could be there for Leia. Finding Jacen was alive helped him somewhat, though the boy was troubled and changed and things were sometimes under strain. By now, he's a war veteran who's happy things have finally become peaceful and who hopes his family won't suffer anymore harsh trials (although he wouldn't get that wish down the road).
Appearance:
Han stands about 6 feet tall and has black hair and brown or hazel eyes. He is slim and fairly solid, in good physical shape but not overly muscular. He tends toward a semi-casual type of dress, usually including his Bloodstripe, a Corellian military award in the form of his dark pants with the red stripe on the side, as well as a white long-sleeved top and his vest or a dark jacket. He’s almost always wearing his holster with at least one blaster in it, and may have another small blaster hidden in his boot at times. He almost always wears calf-length black boots.
Han probably has quite a few scars and marks gathered over the years. His world is advanced medically and even near-fatal injuries can be healed with bacta, but Han wasn’t always able to get to It most likely, so there are probably a few scars here and there.
Abilities:
Han is a skilled pilot, able to fly just about anything with wings, although as there aren’t any flying vehicles here, he’ll be out of luck. He's a crack shot and fast on the draw, preferring to shoot first rather than second and get shot, as he once put it. In addition, he's ambidextrous and can shoot nearly as well with either hand. He's a great Sabaac player and good at other games as well. He is flexible and adaptable, able to think his way out of just about any situation, even if it's by somewhat unorthodox means. He managed several times to elude enemies like Imperial ships or Boba Fett that many others wouldn't have been able to. Unlike many of his family and friends, Han is not known to be Force-sensitive; although Jaina speculated at her wedding that he might have had a mild form of it without knowing it. He can speak and understand a number of languages, including Basic, Corellian, Shryiiwook, Rodese, Huttese, Mandaba and Ilodian to varying degrees.
Inventory:
Han will likely have his blaster in its holster. He usually doesn’t carry very much on his person. Later, he’ll probably try to get the Falcon with points, unless he gets told it vehicles aren’t allowed.
Soul Gem:
A necklace that looks like this: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/universalprotectioncouncil/images/6/64/New_jedi_order_logo.png/revision/latest?cb=20111112200007 The shape is a little rougher though and doesn’t have the detail of the real necklace. It’s greyish black with a blue gem set in the center.

Han had finished up for the moment the work he'd been doing on the Falcon. Fortunately, she'd shown up in good running shape, but he was always doing some kind of maintenance and upkeep on his baby. He still wished Chewie would show up, it was always easier to get things done on the ship working together.
He knew he'd have to figure out a few things. He agreed with Jacen about trying to help the resistance, and was pleased his son's contacts might be close to finding this world's version of Leia. He was still getting used to being a father, but Jacen and Jaina seemed like good kids. Jacen seemed to have a good combination of his and Leia's mind and instincts. Jaina also seemed to, though he hadn't had as much chance to talk to her yet.
For now, he knew that he and Leia would also need a way to get money coming in. Legally, of course-Han might have a history of working at less than legal jobs, but he didn't want to put himself or Leia in any danger by going back to too much illegal stuff. Maybe it if would help the Resistance, like getting things past the First Order, but nothing like in the old days.
This was also a good place to keep his eyes and ears open for potential information, he realized. He wasn't going to push things, but he did keep alert when he came down here for any scraps he might be able to share with Leia or Jacen. And, of course, he kept a lookout as he came and went for any potential, hopefully non-illegal, jobs he might happen onto.

I really thought the stuff I had to come to grips with when I arrived here was enough to wrap my mind around. Luke I get. This place pulled him in from a lot earlier than when I’m from. So there’s a LOT he doesn’t know about. I can live with that. But now, it looks like there’s more weird stuff. I got a guy who says he’s my son but I never saw him in my life and he’s definitely not Anakin or Jacen. He’s a Dark Sider, so who knows what’s going on with him, but he really doesn’t seem to like me much. I think he wants me dead.
I got a girl who says she knows me from the future, but she keeps saying Luke disappeared and that the Jedi Order got destroyed before it was even started, and she keeps talking about some First Order thing and referring to Leia as General Organa. Leia hasn’t used that General stuff in years. Pretty much nothing she says is the way it actually was.
I still feel like holing up somewhere with a good stiff drink for a while.
